We have helped Vanquis Bank complete successfully migration of 1700+ users from a legacy OnPrem Citrix VDI solution to Cloud based Azure Virtual Desktop
Situation
Vanquis Bank had internally completed a PoC of Azure Virtual Desktop as a replacement for an aged Citrix 2008 server environment for 1700+ global users, but like a lot of new technologies once people started to see what it could do the demand grew. Vanquis faced a LOT of challenges! Aging applications, compatibility issues, 15 year old spreadsheet used by 1 person that was only ever meant to be a temporary fix and was hard coded to ie11, new demands, scope creep, unexpected SQL and Kerberos issues.
Results
Fabs Solutions delivered for Vanquis Bank an Enterprise class Azure Virtual Desktop solution. Collaborating with internal IT and Security teams, the highly complex solution met all business requirements that allowed Vanquis to migrate all 1700+ global users from their aged legacy onprem Citrix environment.
Alongside the our technical expertise to design and implement Azure Virtual Desktop, the internal IT support team where trained on how to manage and support Azure Virtual Desktop.
